2026 Truck Show

Thank You for an Incredible 2026 Alexandra Truck Ute and Rod Show

As the dust settles on another Alexandra Truck Ute and Rod Show, we simply want to say one thing:

Thank you.

Thank you to every truck owner, ute owner, rod owner, exhibitor, sponsor, volunteer, community group, business, supplier, contractor, visitor and supporter who helped make the 2026 Alexandra Truck Ute and Rod Show such an incredible success.

Without you, there is no show.

From the moment the gates opened until the final vehicles rolled out, Alexandra was buzzing. The weather was spectacular, the crowds were strong, the conversations were flowing, and the atmosphere throughout the day was something truly special.

Everywhere you looked, people were catching up with old friends, making new connections and sharing stories. It was a reminder that while the trucks, utes and rods may bring us together, it is the people who make this event what it is.

More Than Just a Vehicle Show

One of the things we heard time and time again throughout the weekend was how important events like this are to the trucking and transport community.

Many drivers spend their working lives talking to one another over the radio, hearing familiar voices day after day as they travel Australia’s highways. Yet opportunities to actually meet face-to-face can be surprisingly rare.

For many, the Alexandra Truck Ute and Rod Show is one of the few times each year they get to shake hands, share a meal, catch up with mates and put a face to the voice they’ve known for years.

That sense of connection is something we’re incredibly proud of.

A Community That Continues to Shine

We also heard countless visitors comment on something locals have always known.

Alexandra simply oozes community spirit.

Events of this scale don’t happen by accident. They happen because hundreds of people come together with a shared goal and a willingness to contribute.

This year, that community spirit felt more important than ever.

The summer 2026 bushfires, reportedly the largest fires on pastoral and private land in Victoria’s history, had a profound impact across Murrindindi Shire and right on Alexandra’s doorstep.

Many families lost homes. Many businesses and farming enterprises experienced significant disruption. Countless people across our region continue to navigate the challenges of recovery, whether directly or indirectly affected.

The impacts have been real and far-reaching.

Yet despite those challenges, our community once again demonstrated what makes regional Australia so special.

The willingness of community groups, volunteers, local businesses, sponsors and individuals to support one another, welcome visitors and deliver an event of this magnitude during such a challenging period is something every person across Murrindindi should be proud of.

The hospitality, generosity and resilience on display throughout the weekend was remarkable.

Thank You to Everyone Who Made It Happen

An event like the Alexandra Truck Ute and Rod Show relies on an enormous number of people and organisations working together.

To our sponsors and partners, thank you for your ongoing support and belief in the event.

To the community groups, volunteers, suppliers, contractors and committee members who contribute countless hours behind the scenes, thank you for your dedication and commitment.

To the owners and drivers who travelled from near and far to bring their vehicles to Alexandra, thank you. Without the trucks, utes and rods, there is no show.

And to the thousands upon thousands of visitors who made the trip to Alexandra over the King’s Birthday long weekend, thank you for supporting our community and helping create such a fantastic atmosphere.

The Impact Goes Beyond Economics

We know events like the Alexandra Truck Ute and Rod Show generate significant economic benefits for our region.

That impact is important, particularly as our communities continue to recover from recent challenges.

But some of the most valuable outcomes cannot be measured in dollars alone.

The conversations.

The friendships.

The shared experiences.

The community pride.

The opportunity for people to come together, connect and celebrate what makes regional communities and the transport industry so special.

Those benefits matter just as much.

Looking Ahead to 2027

While we’re still reflecting on the success of this year’s event, we’re already excited about what’s ahead.

The Alexandra Truck Ute and Rod Show will return on Sunday 6 June 2027, and it will be a very special occasion as we celebrate the 30th Annual Alexandra Truck Ute and Rod Show.

Thirty years is an incredible milestone, and we’re already exploring ways to make the 2027 event bigger and better than ever.

The 30th anniversary will provide an opportunity to celebrate the remarkable history of the event, recognise the people who have built it over three decades, and reflect on the important role the trucking and transport industry continues to play in Australia’s future.

We can’t wait to share more as those plans develop.

Until then, thank you once again to everyone who played a part in making the 2026 Alexandra Truck Ute and Rod Show such a memorable event.

Alexandra is incredibly proud of what was achieved, and everyone who contributed in any way should be equally proud.

We’ll see you next year for our 30th anniversary celebration.
