What is the Alexandra Truck Ute and Rod Show?

It’s one of Australia’s premier transport and custom vehicle shows, held annually over the King's Birthday long weekend in Alexandra, Victoria.

When is the next Alexandra Truck Ute and Rod Show?

The 2025 event will be held on Sunday, 8 June 2025, with associated events happening throughout the weekend.

Where is the event held?

The show takes place in the heart of Alexandra’s main street and surrounds, in regional Victoria.

What does the event include?

Expect trucks, utes, rods, trade displays, market stalls, live music, woodchop competitions, kids’ activities, and more.

How much does it cost to attend?

Entry is free for spectators.

What time is the Major Auction?

The Major Auction is held at 2pm at the Main Stage.

If you haven't seen it before, definitely make some time to check it out (and even bid on an item of two). 

Where can I find First Aid?

First Aid is available opposite the Main Stage. You will also see First Aid crew roaming the event.

Vehicle Entries

How do I enter my truck, ute, or hot rod in the show?

You can register online via our website closer to the event, or register on the day. Watch our socials for updates.

What types of vehicles are eligible?

We welcome working trucks, show trucks, classic and custom utes, and rods. There are various judged categories.

Is there a deadline for vehicle registration?

Pre-registration is encouraged right up to Saturday (the day prior), but registrations are also accepted on the day if space allows.

Is there a fee to enter a vehicle?

Yes, an entry fee applies per vehicle, which includes a show bag and eligibility for judging. Entry fees for 2025 are $60 per truck, and $45 per rod or ute.

Where do vehicle entrants go on arrival?

Entrants will be directed to the designated vehicle marshalling area. We encourage you to arrive prior to 6am for parking.

What time can I remove my vehicle from the street in the afternoon?

Moving vehicles and 12,000 or more pedestrians aren't a good mix.

We require all vehicles to remain in place until the street is clear of the public, at 4:30pm. We ask that you follow the instructions of the parking marshalls and/or over the PA system.

How do I apply for a trade or market stall?

You can apply via the Exhibitor section on our website. Stallholder guidelines and fees are listed there.

What kind of stalls are at the show?

We host a mix of automotive suppliers, food vendors, local producers, handmade goods, and community groups.

Is power available for stallholders?

Limited powered sites are available on request. Please indicate your needs when applying.

Entertainment & Activities

What entertainment is on during the show?

Enjoy live music, woodchop demos, kids’ rides, show 'n shine judging, and presentations throughout the day.

Are there activities for kids?

Yes, there are family-friendly attractions, including rides, games, and food stalls.

Will there be food and drinks available?

Yes! Community groups and local vendors will be serving a variety of meals, snacks, and drinks all day.

Getting There & Parking

Where can I park?

There is lots of street parking available in the adjacent streets, and within a short walk of the action.

Is public transport available to Alexandra?

Limited public transport is available. Most visitors drive or carpool to the event.

Are there road closures on the day?

Yes. Alexandra’s main street is closed for the event. Detours and traffic management plans will be in place.

Accessibility & Services

Is the event accessible for people with disabilities?

Yes. We provide accessible toilets and viewing areas, and most of the event is wheelchair-friendly.

Are pets allowed?

For safety reasons and due to crowds, we ask that you leave pets at home, unless they are registered assistance animals.

Is there EFTPOS or ATM access?

Many stalls offer EFTPOS, but we recommend bringing cash. Local ATMs are available, but may be busy.

Can I take photos at the event?

Is drone footage allowed?

No unauthorised drone use is permitted. We work with licensed drone operators for official media coverage.
